Starcraft

This is a fan piece of Blizzard's upcoming Starcraft: Ghost. I tried to get her design down from various screen shots and model renders, so it's probably not 100% correct. I was almost done painting the piece before I found out that there were cg renders of her from E3...
Anyway, I started with a pencil sketch that I scanned into Photoshop. I put in my basic colors in Photoshop and then opened it up in Painter to add in the details.
At this point I'm fairly happy with it, but I'd like to see what everyone else thinks. Any critiques are welcome.

I actually had this in sketch form in my sketchbook for a while. I've been wanting to paint it for some time now, but i had gotten sidetracked by the Grand Space Opera and school. Now that I'm finally done with the GSO and school hasn't quite started up yet, I had some time to finish it up.
I was playing with some Beauty and the Beast ideas in my sketchbook and it lead me to this image, which is like Beaty and the Beast meets The Little Mermaid.
I hope you guys like it.
I had to work with a brief about a she-warrior who comes before the Emperor of the Serpent Empire and is deciding between becoming his bride or killing him.
This is a fake book cover without the text. The whole image would be wrapped around a book. The girl and the golem would be the cover, the middle would be the spine and the waterfall would be the back cover.

Wish

This is my Master and Servant entry. The story behind it is about a girl who is worried about her husband who has gone off to war. She fears that he will never return to her, so she journeys to a magical lake, where a spirt lives. She plays a song for the spirit to coax it out and the spirit offers to grant her one wish. But, the spirit also tells her of how long ago, when the spirit was alive, she lost her love and the grief was too much for her to bear so she drowned herself in this lake. Unfortunately, as a punishment for her selfishness, she was cursed to haunt the lake in her sorrow for eternity. The girl then realized that the sadness she felt for her husband was no worse than the pain the spirit felt, or the families of all of the other soldiers. She felt selfish for thinking her suffering so important. Finally, she told the spirit her wish: for the spirit to be reunited with her love in the afterlife.
